Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Richard de Senna got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Coxinhos EC's Roger Cordeiro got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jacarepagua SC's Tomás Branco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Coxinhos EC. When Ulisses Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coxinhos EC's protests and gave Ulisses Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Coxinhos EC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ulisses Pinho hit a great ball. Franklin Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Mesquita in the 29th minute of the match. Franklin Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fernandinho Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Jacarepagua SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Cearense couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Coxinhos EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Cearense came free, but Franklin Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ricardo Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Coxinhos EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Jacarepagua SC's Tomás Branco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Franklin Freire.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Freire was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 55thth minute of the game Fernandinho Cearense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coxinhos EC's Franklin Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Roger Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coxinhos EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the game, Wanderson França cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Caio Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulisses Pinho hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Coxinhos EC's Franklin Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Cearense in the 73rd minute of play. Franklin Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Cearense in the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes, Jacarepagua SC's Ricardinho Gerber shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franklin Freire came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacarepagua SC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Jacarepagua SC's zone, Richard de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caio Monteiro came out of the goal and Richard de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Fernandinho Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernandinho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Freire having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Coxinhos EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
