Sandrinho Dante's late challenge caught a Falas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandrinho Dante helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Sandrinho Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Belmiro Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Falas FC booed when Fumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurício Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Perez having to interfere. Belmiro Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Waldemar Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Vale hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Falas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Ferraz came free, but Álvaro Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Tadeu Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Mazza having to interfere. Tarcisio Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fumo's Tarcisio Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belmiro Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Waldemar Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Moreira in the 41st minute of play forced Fumo's goalkeeper Waldemar Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Belmiro Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tarcisio Ferraz made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Fumo's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Moreira came free, but Waldemar Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belmiro Valladares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Waldemar Perez made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Falas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fumo:s goal. The referee gave Fumo a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernandinho Mota, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Falas FC's Álvaro Mazza. 1-0. In the 73rd match minute, Fumo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Moreira struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Waldemar Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falas FC. 76 minutes into the match, Fumo's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Moreira came free, but Waldemar Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Maurício Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matías de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Fumo's Waldemar Perez got control of the ball when Belmiro Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Tarcisio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tarcisio Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Mazza having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fumo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Falas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
