The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Silvério Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Arósio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Meireles in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Dantas saved Sucessores AD from getting behind. If Hugo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Amorinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Tostão de Barros. Alberto Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Paiva went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Amorinopolis's goalkeeper Alberto Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Silvério Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Toledo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diogo Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos Meireles in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sucessores AD's goalkeeper Baltazar Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Amorinopolis's Murillo Alves got a free kick in the 54th minute. Baltazar Dantas was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Murillo Alves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Murillo Alves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Zé Carlos Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Baltazar Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvério Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tostão de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Alberto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Paiva in the 84th minute of play. If Hugo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Paiva during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Amorinopolis booed when Sucessores AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fiori de Godoy charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fiori de Godoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fiori de Godoy hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Baltazar Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 97 minutes into the game, one of Amorinopolis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Sucessores AD a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mauro Fontes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Amorinopolis's Alberto Arósio. 2-1. Sucessores AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
