Diogo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Paranaense having to interfere. Ernani Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 27th match minute, Pastorador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Couto to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Paranaense having to interfere. Diogo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ernani Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Diogo Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pastorador's Ernani Paranaense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastorador's Ernani Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Freire in the 33rd minute of play. Ernani Paranaense came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Baxio EC's Cristóvão Freire. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 38 minutes, Cido Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pastorador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Pastorador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baxio EC were winning 0-3.

In the 53rd minute, João Augusto Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Baxio EC's Maurício Moreira got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ricardo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Baxio EC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Patrick Aguiar hit a great ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Baxio EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Moisés Cearense was slow to take the kick. During this time Pastorador's players had a chance to rest. Pastorador's Moisés Cearense was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adalmo Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Baxio EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Vidal came free, but Adalmo Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalmo Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Agnaldo Vieira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 72 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baxio EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pastorador the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Baxio EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Freire to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Paranaense came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Baxio EC's Diogo Valadares. But to his dismay, Diogo Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. With a little luck, Pastorador's Ernani Paranaense got control of the ball when Diogo Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adolfo Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Adolfo Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cristóvão Freire came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Baxio EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Freire couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Cristóvão Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Baxio EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
