Luiz Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 6 played minutes Reginopolis got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Mello. Geraldo Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio Paiva's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jaguaraci SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Arnaldo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Claudinei Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginopolis's Ramón Lima shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Geraldo Seco but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Emerson Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reginopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Vidal struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Geraldo Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reginopolis. In the 31st minute Ciro Cearense collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emerson Goiano during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Jaguaraci SS booed when Reginopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jaguaraci SS's zone, Emerson Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Seco came out of the goal and Emerson Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arnaldo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Reginopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Fantini to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Vidal was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Reginopolis's Luiz Lima got control of the ball when Arnaldo Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geraldo Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geraldo Seco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Reginopolis booed when Jaguaraci SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Lima made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Arnaldo Ramos sent off a good shot on target. Jaguaraci SS's Geraldo Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Goiano in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, one of Jaguaraci SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jaguaraci SS:s Geraldo Seco showed great skill when he stopped Ramón Lima:s penalty. In the 84th minute Reginopolis were awarded a corner. Ramón Lima went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Jaguaraci SS's Claudinei Schmidt got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 96th minute, Edgard Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Reginopolis booed when Jaguaraci SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 99th minute Emerson Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Jaguaraci SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jaguaraci SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
