Rodriguinho Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo França having to interfere. Boquira's Olavo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Madureira in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Boquira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Basílio Freitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olavo França skillfully saved the ball. Rodriguinho Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Olavo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Boquira's Dé Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Boquira's Olavo França got control of the ball when Rodriguinho Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Olavo França managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Marialva AD's Rodriguinho Bezerra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 61 minutes into the match, Boquira's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Madureira came free, but Olavo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Régis Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Marialva AD booed when Boquira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Marialva AD getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Raimundo Madureira hit a great ball. Régis Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Marialva AD's zone, Dé Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Viana came out of the goal and Dé Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodriguinho Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Olavo França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marialva AD. If Bruninho Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boquira's Tony Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Régis Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chicão Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Marialva AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Mendes couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
