Olavo França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Emerson Goiano struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Olavo França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reginopolis. In the 9th minute Edgard Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Reginopolis! Emerson Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Matías do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavo França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Tróia in the 36th minute of the match. If Emerson Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Meireles in the 46th minute of play forced Reginopolis's goalkeeper Luiz Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Vidal was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Reginopolis were awarded a corner. Ramón Lima went to the cornerflag to take it. Reginopolis's Ramón Lima was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olavo França in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Olavo França stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Goiano's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Dé Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dé Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Luiz Lima made a huge save. Tony Paulista's late challenge caught a Reginopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Tony Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Reginopolis's Natã Quaresma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Edgard Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Olavo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo França having to interfere. Olavo França came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Reginopolis's Edgard Vidal. But to his dismay, Edgard Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Matías do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Lima having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Reginopolis fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boquira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
