In the 6th minute of the match Laércio Paulista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Bertassi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bruno Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Bertassi having to interfere. Casmorra's Daniel Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Cerezo in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Aníbal Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Belchior Novaes came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dorival Moraes could save by the left post. Belchior Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorival Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio de Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Paz EC's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio de Godoy came free, but Dorival Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Paz EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Arthur Freire hit a great ball. Aníbal Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Daniel Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paz EC. 43 minutes into the match, Aníbal Cerezo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Casmorra's Daniel Bertassi. Daniel Bertassi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio de Godoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Laércio de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casmorra's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio de Godoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio de Godoy in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival Moraes saved Paz EC from getting behind. Aníbal Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Bertassi having to interfere. Daniel Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Bruno Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd match minute, Paz EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Freire to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Casmorra booed when Paz EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Godoy in the 82nd minute of play forced Paz EC's goalkeeper Dorival Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
