Robinho Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Titiarre EC's Ulisses Cosme got control of the ball when Bruno Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Titiarre EC booed when Paz EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Duarte in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival Moraes saved Paz EC from getting behind. Bruno Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aníbal Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ulisses Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Arthur Freire fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paz EC's protests and gave Arthur Freire a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Paz EC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Freire. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silas Duarte in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorival Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmílson Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ulisses Cosme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Guimarães in the 27th minute. If Aníbal Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bruno Guimarães succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 31st playminute. After some careless play in the Paz EC defense, Robinho Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorival Moraes. The Paz EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorival Moraes should have stopped the shot. Robinho Lopez took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dorival Moraes. Dorival Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aníbal Cerezo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Silas Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Titiarre EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silas Duarte couldn't finish the play. Silas Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Moraes having to interfere. If Robinho Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Laércio Paulista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulisses Cosme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Bruno Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 played minutes Robinho Lopez rounded Paz EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Aníbal Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ulisses Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paz EC. A collision led to Titiarre EC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Roberto Britto hit a great ball. If Silas Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulisses Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
