Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fábio Cruz kicked off to start the match. When Vinícius da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metancia's protests and gave Vinícius da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Metancia getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sertaneja SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dino Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
