Falcão Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Diniz in the 4th minute of the match. Gino Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Falcão Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Negri in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Tunas's Luís Fernando Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falcão Paraense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Ademar Negri made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Paraense. Sertaneja SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Cruz in the 28th minute of play forced Tunas's goalkeeper Cacá Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tunas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Natã Matos hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, Tunas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Fábio Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cacá Sabóia having to make a save. Sertaneja SS's Falcão Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Negri in the 41st minute of play. Luís Fernando Diniz scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramiro Vinhas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luís Fernando Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Falcão Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademar Negri to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Tunas's Ademar Negri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Luís Fernando Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Falcão Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tunas's Cacá Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Loyola in the 62nd minute of play. Fábio Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cacá Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Negri in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Paraense saved Sertaneja SS from getting behind. Luís Fernando Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 78th minute, but Falcão Paraense got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Sertaneja SS hanging dry this time. Ademar Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Paraense having to interfere. If Fábio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Nildo Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fábio Cruz in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tunas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
