Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victor Novaes kicked off to start the match. 8 minutes into the match, Goiaba's Patrick Quintal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serginho Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Goiaba's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Novaes came free, but Rubinho Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Goiaba got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Senna. Marquinhos Baiano, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 23 minutes, Nelson Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caraguata SC and the Goiaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Caraguata SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nelson Dracena hit a great ball. Patrick Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Serginho Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Júlio Brasil sped through Caraguata SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serginho Ferreira. Júlio Brasil struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Serginho Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiaba. 43 minutes into the match, Caraguata SC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Brasil came free, but Serginho Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goiaba's Patrick Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Caraguata SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Serginho Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Goiaba's Júlio Brasil made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Ferreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Novaes in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubinho Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agnaldo Travassos hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Júlio Brasil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 86 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caraguata SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goiaba the free kick. In the 86th match minute, Caraguata SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Neto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caraguata SC's goalkeeper Serginho Ferreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Serginho Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Quintal in the 91st minute of play. Victor Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubinho Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Novaes in the 98th minute of the match. Goiaba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
