An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Soeiro in the 3rd minute of play forced Urumbeba's goalkeeper Orlando Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Josué Moura took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Custódio do Valle. Piaus AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match Ismael Paraíba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Paulista skillfully saved the ball. After 15 minutes, Dalmo de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urumbeba and the Piaus AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dalmo de Carvalho hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play Urumbeba's Dalmo de Carvalho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Urumbeba's Dalmo de Carvalho got a free kick in the 19th minute. Piaus AD's Mathias Salgado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Urumbeba. In the 22nd minute, Gustavo Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Piaus AD's Matías Veiga got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Urumbeba's zone, Gustavo Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Paulista came out of the goal and Gustavo Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piaus AD's Custódio do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Piaus AD from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Piaus AD getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Agostinho Eger hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Yan de Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Custódio do Valle. The goal made the score 1-0. A hard shot by Josué Moura from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Custódio do Valle's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fausto Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Furtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yan de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Custódio do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Yan de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Paulista made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Agostinho Eger sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Cauã Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Yan de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Urumbeba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan de Souza couldn't finish the play. Yan de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Juninho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
