The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lajeiro booed when Quatiguaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the game, Benedito Batista landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Roberto de Godoy's late challenge caught a Lajeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto de Godoy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Quatiguaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto de Godoy to maneuver through the defense. Vito Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luís Lago in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Dias saved Lajeiro from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Quatiguaua's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Josué Vidal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 57th minute, Charles de Azevedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vito Figueiredo. The goal made the score 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Roberto de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quatiguaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto de Godoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. André Luís Lago took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Dias. Afonso Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Kauan Peres was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. Kauan Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Josué Vidal struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Vito Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lajeiro. Gilberto Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Josué Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luís Lago in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Dias saved Lajeiro from getting behind. André Luís Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Dias having to interfere. The Lajeiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
