Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benjamin Neiva started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Davi Alves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Claudinho Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Chico Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elder Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Papua's Luiz Gustavo Eger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Claudinho Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Pinho having to interfere. Benedito Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Cristiano Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Tebas getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Amauri das Neves hit a great ball. Davi Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Fernandes hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Benjamin Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Papua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Neiva couldn't finish the play. Matías Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Alves in the 43rd minute of the match. Matías Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Alves in the 45th minute of play. Elder Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elder Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Tebas got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Mattos. The long shot by Luiz Gustavo Eger in the 55th minute really tested Matías Zanette's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Elder Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Benedito Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tebas the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Papua's zone, Elder Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Pinho came out of the goal and Elder Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Elder Mello sped through Papua's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chico Pinho. After having played for 72 minutes, Elder Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tebas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Papua's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Mello came free, but Chico Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Tebas's Elder Mello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chico Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Tebas's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Neiva came free, but Matías Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Benjamin Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papua's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Papua's Benjamin Neiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matías Zanette. That made the score 1-2 after 82 minutes of play. Elder Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Papua were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Tebas's much stronger midfield.
