Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Didi Figueiredo started the match with the kick off. Mapua's Cícero Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Mapua from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mapua's Mário de Medeiros got a free kick in the 4th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Mapua's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Figueiredo came free, but Cícero Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angaturama AD's Beto Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Cavalcante in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Angaturama AD getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Dadá Rocha hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Didi Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dedê Trancoso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Dedê Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dedê Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angaturama AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mapua's Dráuzio Mineiro got a free kick in the 34th minute. Didi Figueiredo had several of the Mapua's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Cícero Rezende as he didn't even see the shot coming. After having played for 39 minutes, Didi Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angaturama AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Mapua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fernando Cavalcante made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Angaturama AD's Roberto Neiva got a free kick in the 55th minute. Didi Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cícero Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Angaturama AD getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dadá Rocha hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Dedê Trancoso made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mapua's Cícero Rezende tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Roberto Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Didi Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Angaturama AD's Dedê Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cícero Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Cícero Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Trancoso in the 87th minute of play. Cícero Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Figueiredo in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game Dedê Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mapua's Cícero Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Dedê Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Figueiredo in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Angaturama AD were the better team. Angaturama AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
