Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Samuca Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Barral having to interfere. In the 5th minute Válter Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Samuca Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Natingui booed when Quiriri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Edson Marques sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quiriri's José Vergílio didn't even have to move. Acácio Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. José Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Samuca Paranaense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Natingui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Marques to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Natingui's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Sarmento came free, but Henrique Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Acácio Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henrique Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Paranaense in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Natingui defense, Válter Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Barral. The Natingui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Barral should have stopped the shot. If Marcos Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Rui Valadares sent off a good shot on target. Acácio Leão took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Vergílio. José Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Cearense was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Edson Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Natingui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Marcos Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Natingui's Acácio Leão made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Sarmento in the 62nd minute of play forced Natingui's goalkeeper Henrique Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Henrique Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válter Sarmento's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Natingui's goalkeeper Henrique Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Quiriri defense, Marcos Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vergílio. The Quiriri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vergílio should have stopped the shot. Henrique Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Sarmento in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Natingui fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quiriri had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
