Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sydney Severo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the game, Samuca Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silvério Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the game, Quiriri's Válter Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvério Simão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Samuca Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Quiriri booed when Itainzinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Samuca Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quiriri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Itainzinho FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Luizão Vinhas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Samuca Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiriri's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuca Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvério Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Itainzinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Sarmento came free, but Silvério Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Ernesto Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Quiriri's Claudinho Marinho tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Silvério Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Sarmento in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Itainzinho FC booed when Quiriri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Itainzinho FC's Dito Andrade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Samuca Paranaense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itainzinho FC's Silvério Simão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Severo in the 46th minute of play forced Quiriri's goalkeeper José Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Quiriri were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válter Sarmento was the one to do the kick off. Silvério Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luizão Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuca Paranaense got free with Silvério Simão in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quiriri's José Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Severo in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Almir Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Itainzinho FC booed when Quiriri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Silvério Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Sarmento in the 76th minute of play forced Itainzinho FC's goalkeeper Silvério Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuca Paranaense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Silvério Simão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quiriri's goalkeeper José Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Sarmento in the 81st minute of play forced Itainzinho FC's goalkeeper Silvério Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvério Simão made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Samuca Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. Samuca Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Silvério Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quiriri. José Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvério Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vergílio having to interfere. The Quiriri supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quiriri would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
