A collision led to Coroata getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Renatinho Guedes hit a great ball. Cassiara's Mário Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deivid Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Carioca having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Deivid Brito made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Deivid Brito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maurinho Carioca, 0-1. 62 minutes into the game, André Luiz Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cassiara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coroata the free kick. André Luiz Paranaense hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Faustino in the 76th minute of play forced Cassiara's goalkeeper Adalmo Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalmo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Deivid Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Deivid Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurinho Carioca was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Mário Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
