The supporters of Manicobal SC booed when Emburrado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Secco having to interfere. Ian Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Adelino Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rui Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Emburrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Juninho da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manicobal SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juninho da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Manicobal SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Hortêncio Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Koehler in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Adelino Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 44th match minute, Manicobal SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Lucas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho da Fonseca to make the kick off. Hélder Marquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Emburrado getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Michel Alagoano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Marquez in the 61st minute of play forced Manicobal SC's goalkeeper Ian Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hélder Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jorge Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manicobal SC's protests and gave Jorge Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Alagoano in the 77th minute of play forced Manicobal SC's goalkeeper Ian Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ronaldo Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dudu Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Vieira was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Ian Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Marquez in the 89th minute of the match. Juninho da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
