The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Sarauna FC's Sílvio Luís Baptista got control of the ball when William Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. If William Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luís Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiliam Saraiva ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Sarauna FC's Ramón Massa got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Luís Baptista was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Júlio Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarauna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jerico AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sarauna FC's Júlio Marinho got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sarauna FC's Washington Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Jerico AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Guerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Digo Secco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Sena skillfully saved the ball. The Jerico AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sarauna FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiliam Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Sarauna FC's Luisinho Vergílio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. If William Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Massa in the 75th minute of play forced Jerico AD's goalkeeper Juan Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Washington Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jerico AD! Jerico AD:s Juan Sena showed great skill when he stopped Digo Secco:s penalty. In the 91st minute, Digo Secco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarauna FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 98th minute, Wiliam Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Luís Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Sarauna FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
