Russas's Nestor da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Russas from getting a goal against them. If Allan Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Armando da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor da Cunha having to interfere. Nestor da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Pombal in the 30th minute of play. Cauã Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Rogério Macedo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of João de Carvalho. Fangueiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When Armando da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fangueiro fans jumped to their feet.
