In the 15th minute Waldir Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Matheus Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quajara SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matheus Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Catrimani's José Vítor Leme in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Catrimani's Arlindo Miranda got a free kick in the 28th minute. Matheus Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Emerson Arantes made a huge save. In the 34th minute, José Vítor Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Vítor Leme in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ulysses Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafa Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catrimani's goalkeeper Emerson Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafa Cordeiro in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Arantes saved Catrimani from getting behind. Emerson Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlindo Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Arantes having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match, Waldir Ortiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedrinho Messias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Matheus Costa scored 1-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Arantes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute José Vítor Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes, Quajara SC's Décio Trigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emerson Arantes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quajara SC reached it. A collision led to Catrimani getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Carlinhos Oliveira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Leme in the 87th minute of play forced Quajara SC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rafa Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Igor Meira fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quajara SC's protests and gave Igor Meira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Quajara SC's Igor Meira got a free kick in the 98th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quajara SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Catrimani had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
