In the 19th match minute, Carpina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Fred Lima stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Vítor da Silveira. 0-1. Luís Eduardo Zilles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Rocha having to interfere. Paulão Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Yan Rocha made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clóvis Borges was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Borges in the 55th minute of play forced Martins AD's goalkeeper João Vítor da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Vítor da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ivo Madureira sent off a good shot on target. Clóvis Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Vítor da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. João Vítor da Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clóvis Borges showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Clóvis Borges took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for João Vítor da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Carpina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
