After 25 played minutes, Flexal SS's Wilton Queirós shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Vítor da Silveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flexal SS reached it. Orlando Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Elder Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor da Silveira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Luís Eduardo Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulão Travassos in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Francisco Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kauan Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauan Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Martins AD booed when Flexal SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulão Travassos's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Anselmo Eger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Flexal SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Flexal SS's zone, Paulão Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Gaúcho came out of the goal and Paulão Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
