After a rather tough play, Vencedora's Edgar Mangueira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Ciro Eger sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vencedora's Nelsinho Quaresma didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Mendonça in the 7th minute of play forced Delfina EC's goalkeeper Júlio Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almir Figueiredo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When José Augusto Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Vencedora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Tasso couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Mendonça made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, José Augusto Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 65th minute Patrício Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vencedora booed when Delfina EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball.
