Ipuacu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Vladimir Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jatobazal SS's zone, Marquinhos Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Sabóia came out of the goal and Marquinhos Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Silas dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute, Eurico Neves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reinaldo Pitta. The goal made the score 2-1. There was no doubt that Ipuacu SS were the better team. Ipuacu SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
