Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rui Couto made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Congonhinhas FC's zone, Conrado Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Tavares came out of the goal and Conrado Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Osmar Sena came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Guaraipos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osmar Sena couldn't finish the play. After having played for 6 minutes, Osmar Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraipos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Conrado Lira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yuri Tavares. Conrado Lira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Gabriel Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Couto in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Rui Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, Congonhinhas FC's José Maria Fontes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Yuri Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, João Vítor Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Martins. Guaraipos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Vítor Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 33rd minute of the match Valdo Bertassi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Martins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osmar Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Yuri Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Lira made a kick off. If Rui Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Vítor Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Vítor Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guaraipos booed when Congonhinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osmar Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Tavares having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Osmar Sena made a precise shot to the right of Yuri Tavares. Congonhinhas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, João Vítor Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congonhinhas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vítor Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If João Vítor Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Guaraipos's Gabriel Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Guaraipos from getting a goal against them. Yuri Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes, Pedro Luís Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaraipos and the Congonhinhas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 94 minutes, João Vítor Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congonhinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Congonhinhas FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Guaraipos had controlled the match.
