Tiaguinho Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Saldanha in the 9th minute of the match. Assarai SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Rogério Saldanha scored to the left of an out of position Tiaguinho Mandrak, making the score, 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Gustavo Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catadupas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Assarai SS the free kick. Rogério Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiaguinho Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Saldanha in the 25th minute of play. If Alexandre Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Leal got free with Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mário Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Assarai SS booed when Catadupas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Porto having to interfere. In the 44th minute Rogério Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes, Albertinho Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Assarai SS and the Catadupas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albertinho Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. After 63 minutes, Albertino da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catadupas and the Assarai SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albertino da Cunha hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Mandrak came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Catadupas's Alexandre Leal. But to his dismay, Alexandre Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tiaguinho Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes, Manuel Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catadupas and the Assarai SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Catadupas's Albertino da Cunha got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Albertino da Cunha off the ground. A collision led to Catadupas getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Albertino da Cunha hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Assarai SS's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Mandrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mário Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pedro Augusto Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Rogério Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Assarai SS's Albertinho Freitas in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catadupas's goalie prevented a goal. Albertinho Freitas struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Pedro Augusto Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Assarai SS. Tiaguinho Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catadupas had won after a very even match.
