Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Parana EC's André Luís Palmeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3rd play minutes Toninho do Valle shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Alfredão Lima and just under the crossbar into goal. Benjamim do Vale scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toninho do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredão Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Benjamim do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Toninho do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toninho do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alfredão Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Luís Palmeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vicente Pirani came out and tried to block the shot, but André Luís Palmeira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 36th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho do Valle to make the kick off. Cristiano Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alfredão Lima made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, Taruacu's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Palmeira came free, but Vicente Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredão Lima was a little too slow when Cristiano Severo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-2. The supporters of Taruacu booed when Parana EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredão Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Parana EC's André Luís Palmeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredão Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho do Valle in the 74th minute of play. In the 79th minute Toninho do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredão Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Severo's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Benjamim do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Pirani having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taruacu's zone, André Luís Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Pirani came out of the goal and André Luís Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Dé Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
