Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vitinho Rodrigues kicked off to start the match. Nilmar Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim de Barros in the 5th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Vitinho Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brumadinho's Luiz Fábio Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Washington Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Vitinho Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Brumadinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fábio Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brumadinho's Luiz Fábio Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Rodrigues in the 27th minute of play. Washington Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Washington Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmacia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fábio Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute of the match Agnaldo Gerber shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fábio Toscano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Rodrigues in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Cabral in the 41st minute of play forced Brumadinho's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim de Barros to make the kick off. Nilmar Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Quadros in the 54th minute of play. Nilmar Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes Palmacia SC got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Magalhães. In the 65th minute, Palmacia SC's Washington Cabral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fábio Toscano. Luiz Fábio Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Delfim de Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilmar Macedo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Cabral got free with Luiz Fábio Toscano in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nilmar Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Palmacia SC's Luís Paulo Neves got a free kick in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Vitinho Rodrigues took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Luiz Fábio Toscano to make any attempt to save it. In the 91st minute, Eugênio Quadros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilmar Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Palmacia SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
