In the 3rd match minute, Tuparetama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes Joffily SS got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Silva. Hermínio Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sílvio Luiz Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Simões in the 10th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hermínio Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Luiz Pimenta was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 13 minutes, João Carlos da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuparetama and the Joffily SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tuparetama's João Carlos da Mata got a free kick in the 13th minute. Raí Xavier made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Válter Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Válter Ferreira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Sílvio Luiz Pimenta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Simões's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Hermínio Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Joffily SS's Gino Valadares got a free kick in the 24th minute. Nildo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joffily SS's Erivaldo Silva got his second yellow card of the match in the 28th minute. The referee ordered Erivaldo Silva off the ground. Hermínio Tasso struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sílvio Luiz Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuparetama. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Paraíba in the 37th minute of play forced Joffily SS's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Joffily SS's Caio Coutinho got a free kick in the 38th minute. Hermínio Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Hermínio Tasso made the kick off in the second half. If Válter Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Luiz Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joffily SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válter Ferreira in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Xavier saved Tuparetama from getting behind. Válter Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Xavier having to interfere. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Nildo Simões sped through Joffily SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz Pimenta. Nildo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Raí Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tuparetama players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Joffily SS from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
