Francisco Bittencourt came out of the goal and Deivid Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miritizal's José Vítor Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Imbau getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eduardo Paraense hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Imbau's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Moraes came free, but Francisco Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Miritizal booed when Imbau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If José Vítor Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute.
