In the 15th minute of the match Guga Ferraz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo de Souza skillfully saved the ball. Oswaldo de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Cosme in the 16th minute of play. Doni Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Fomento's goalkeeper Doni Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vágner de Souza. Vágner de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Paraíba having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fomento's Ernani Faustino got a free kick in the 55th minute. Doni Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Motta in the 58th minute of the match. Alpinino FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Fomento's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serginho Pontes took the corner. Doni Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Vágner de Souza notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Fomento's Doni Paraíba. José Carlos Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Oswaldo de Souza made a huge save. Vito Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Doni Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
