The supporters of Leria SS booed when Ipuiuna SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Digo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Digo Paraibano in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Rafael Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipuiuna SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Correia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orlando Correia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Correia to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ipuiuna SC's zone, Cássio Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Lira came out of the goal and Cássio Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Ipuiuna SC's Cléber Mota seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cléber Mota the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ipuiuna SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cléber Mota had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 56th minute, one of Ipuiuna SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipuiuna SC. Leria SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléber Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 101 minutes into the match, Cássio Meira notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Ipuiuna SC's Dagoberto Lira. Dagoberto Lira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leria SS played a much better game than Ipuiuna SC and deserved their victory. The Ipuiuna SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
