Tirirca SC's Frederico Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Nascimento in the 14th minute of play. Frederico Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Nascimento in the 15th minute of the match. Frederico Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitinho Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Vitinho Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Frederico Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Passos's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Nelson Passos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Frederico Moreira. If Vitinho Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Areia's Nelson Passos in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tirirca SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute Vitinho Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tirirca SC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. César Seco hit a great ball. Areia's Nelson Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederico Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Vitinho Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Frederico Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Areia's Nelson Passos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederico Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Areia were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. Tirirca SC's Frederico Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Tirirca SC from getting a goal against them. When Areia's Nelson Passos in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
