Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Válbson de Queirós got the match started through his kick off. Eusébio Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moisés Peres in the 7th minute. Piai AD's Dráusio Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Piai AD booed when Guapirama SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Pernambucano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Renatinho Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Válbson de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eusébio Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Paiva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anísio Moura. Claudinho Pirani charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Pirani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guapirama SC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Claudinho Pirani hit a great ball. Amadeu Pernambucano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusébio Paiva. Guapirama SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Válbson de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Piai AD booed when Guapirama SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Piai AD's Pedro Augusto Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráusio Mendonça made a kick off. If Dráusio Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Válbson de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Silvinho de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Moreno in the 69th minute of play forced Guapirama SC's goalkeeper Eusébio Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dráusio Mendonça, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eusébio Paiva was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Válbson de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvinho de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Renatinho Netto sent off a good shot on target. After 88 minutes, Moisés Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piai AD and the Guapirama SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Piai AD's Moisés Peres got a free kick in the 88th minute. 94 minutes in the game, Renatinho Netto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Silvinho de Azevedo having to interfere. Silvinho de Azevedo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oswaldo Nóbrega. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guapirama SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
