The wind increased when Cacá Araújo made the kick off in the second half. Natanael Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Caracois EC were awarded a corner. Zacarias Sampaio went to the cornerflag to take it. 74 minutes into the game, Juninho Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Arnaldo Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Paulo Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caracois EC's Naldo da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Araújo in the 82nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Caracois EC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
