Ilhas:s Márcio Lopes showed great skill when he stopped Léo Breckenfeld:s penalty. 12 minutes into the match, Léo Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Márcio Lopes. Ilhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Léo Breckenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Márcio Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibúrcio Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Márcio Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Arruda in the 20th minute of the match. Ricardinho Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardinho Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ilhas booed when Barraos AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 45 in the game by Geovânio Zilles from a close distance when the talented Roger Trigo managed to make a qualified save. Barraos AD's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibúrcio Damião in the 47th minute of play forced Ilhas's goalkeeper Márcio Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Roger Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Zilles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ernesto Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ilhas getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vicente Nóbrega hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júnior Trancoso during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roger Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Geovânio Zilles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Trigo. Barraos AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovânio Zilles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Natanael de Barros was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Natanael de Barros hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
