Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tapecu AD's Luiz Guilherme Pontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michel Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Correia having to interfere. Geovânio Zilles scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Zilles in the 9th minute of play forced Tapecu AD's goalkeeper Lúcio Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lúcio Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Geovânio Zilles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Correia was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 16thth minute of the game Geovânio Zilles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tapecu AD's Lúcio Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Michel Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovânio Zilles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Baltazar Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodriguinho Correia hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Michel Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michel Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Paulão Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Márcio Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Pontes in the 29th minute of play. Michel Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michel Vianna to strike the kick off in the second half. Michel Vianna did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Lúcio Correia 52 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulão Alves during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tapecu AD getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Paulão Alves hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Ilhas's Júnior Trancoso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 60th minute, Rodriguinho Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lúcio Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Cipriano Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapecu AD and the Ilhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, one of Tapecu AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lúcio Correia had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Júnior Trancoso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 71 played minutes, Tapecu AD's Tomé Paraíba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Márcio Lopes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tapecu AD reached it. If Michel Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Ilhas's Michel Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lúcio Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Vianna in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Ilhas booed when Tapecu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes Tapecu AD got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Bertassi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Vianna in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Correia saved Tapecu AD from getting behind. Márcio Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Guilherme Pontes's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Baltazar Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Márcio Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltazar Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Guilherme Pontes in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márcio Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Michel Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Afonso do Valle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lúcio Correia. That made the score 0-3 in the 99 minute of play.
