Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alan Mazza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luís Eduardo Teles charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Teles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Itarema SS's Luís Eduardo Teles got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itarema SS's goalkeeper Haroldo Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Pedro Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Haroldo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Ribeirao's goalkeeper Guga de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Maranhense. Guga de Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Maranhense went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 31 played minutes Ribeirao got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Diniz. Haroldo Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Berger in the 39th minute of play. João Pedro Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genílson da Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Prestes having to make a save. Alan Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Sena having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Travassos during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when João Pedro Berger made the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Pitta's late challenge caught a Ribeirao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. Haroldo Pitta hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Genílson da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribeirao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Eduardo Diniz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Alan Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Itarema SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Mazza couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the game, Genílson da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Haroldo Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Itarema SS's Chiquinho Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genílson da Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Haroldo Prestes made a huge save. The supporters of Itarema SS booed when Ribeirao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ribeirao's Guga de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Mazza in the 89th minute of play. Ribeirao's Genílson da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, João Pedro Berger notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Itarema SS's Haroldo Prestes. Haroldo Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
