Zé Pedro Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th minute, Alan Mazza made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Pinheiro. Marfinzeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. William Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Prestes having to interfere. Haroldo Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Palmeira in the 15th minute of the match. Haroldo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Palmeira in the 20th minute of play forced Itarema SS's goalkeeper Haroldo Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Zé Pedro Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Palmeira in the 28th minute of play. Jarbas Lima hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match, Digo Moreno got a very nice opportunity to score, but Haroldo Prestes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alan Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Simão Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itarema SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zé Pedro Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Palmeira made a kick off. Marfinzeiro's Digo Moreno got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Digo Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Digo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If William Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Marfinzeiro's Digo Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Haroldo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute, Simão Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matías Paiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haroldo Prestes. Itarema SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alan Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Pinheiro having to interfere. If Simão Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Marfinzeiro getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sidney Vides hit a great ball. After 96 played minutes, Itarema SS's Chiquinho Berger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Pedro Pinheiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itarema SS reached it. The Itarema SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
