Roger Cearense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Toninho Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Airoes's Luís Sampaio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Elder Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sydney Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Lucas struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Sydney Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airoes. Sydney Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Motta having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Carvalho during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Roger Cearense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Branco. The goal made the score 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roger Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. Sydney Motta made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Luís Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Elder Lucas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sydney Motta. That made the score 3-1 in the 58 minute of play. Roger Cearense took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Branco. Luiz Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Airoes's Téo Berger got a free kick in the 68th minute. Sydney Motta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Sampaio in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute Toninho Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Téo Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Cearense might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. Airoes's Luiz Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Cearense in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Airoes's goalkeeper Luiz Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Airoes's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Duarte came free, but Luiz Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Airoes for a fine match.
