Sílvio Luís Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Celso Berger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Capoeiras's Belchior Pombal. Belchior Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Enéas Prado came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Inhata EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Prado couldn't finish the play. Belchior Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto Esteves's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Mário Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raí Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belchior Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to Capoeiras getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Zacarias Cardozo hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Raí Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capoeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Raí Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Augusto Esteves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavinho Cabral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Varela's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Capoeiras's goalkeeper Belchior Pombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enéas Prado. Inhata EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Augusto Esteves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Belchior Pombal. That made the score 1-3 in the 96 minute of play. The Inhata EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
