The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Inhata EC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Celso Berger hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Inhata EC's Carlos Augusto Esteves got a free kick in the 5th minute. Baltazar Rezende hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Carlos Augusto Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Uiraponga booed when Inhata EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Duarte Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavinho Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Mandrak went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Duarte Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavinho Cabral was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 29 minutes of play, Uiraponga's Duarte Carioca made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavinho Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uiraponga's Zé Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inhata EC's Flavinho Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Mandrak in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Inhata EC defense, Zé Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavinho Cabral. The Inhata EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavinho Cabral should have stopped the shot. Zé Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enéas Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Augusto Esteves to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Augusto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inhata EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Duarte Carioca scored to the left of an out of position Flavinho Cabral, making the score, 0-4. A well placed Zé Mandrak short distance shot in the 65th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 69 minutes into the match, Inhata EC's goalkeeper Flavinho Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte Carioca. Zé Mandrak might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavinho Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Mandrak ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Cabral having to interfere. If Carlos Augusto Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Duarte Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Zé Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes in the game, Zé Mandrak fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Flavinho Cabral having to interfere. With splendid footwork Zé Mandrak arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-6 by the left pole in the game's 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uiraponga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
