Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pirianito SS's Emerson Dias started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardo Reis struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Luisinho Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bemposta. Luisinho Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 9 minutes, Emerson Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirianito SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Rogério Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Bemposta's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Dias came free, but João Vítor Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pirianito SS's zone, Bernardo Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Baiano came out of the goal and Bernardo Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes of play, Bemposta's Dário Arruda made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisinho Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Bernardo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bemposta's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Pirianito SS's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Arruda came free, but Luisinho Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Pirianito SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Arce got free with João Vítor Vianna in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bemposta getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Nelsinho Xavier hit a great ball. Emerson Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Bemposta's Laércio Pimenta got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Dias in the 79th minute of play forced Bemposta's goalkeeper João Vítor Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dário Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When Bernardo Reis fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bemposta's protests and gave Bernardo Reis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pirianito SS booed when Bemposta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Bernardo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bemposta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 minutes, Manolo Urbano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirianito SS and the Bemposta players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pirianito SS getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Manolo Urbano hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bemposta had won after a very even match.
