After a rather tough play, Ginete SC's Danilo Cardozo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Hugo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Rossi having to interfere. Dinei Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauan Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Cururupe EC's Joélson Furtado. But to his dismay, Joélson Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cauan Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Furtado in the 18th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Danilo Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joélson Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Faustão Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinei Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Ribeiro having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Geovânio Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ginete SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cururupe EC the free kick. Ginete SC's Adalberto Quadros suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 45 minutes into the game, Caco Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cururupe EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ginete SC the free kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Furtado was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Rossi having to interfere. Cururupe EC's Dário Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Dracena in the 59th minute of play. Dário Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauan Ribeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joélson Furtado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Dinei Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Joélson Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinei Jacinto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 77th playminute. In the 80th match minute, Ginete SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Sena to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes, Elivélton Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cururupe EC and the Ginete SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ginete SC booed when Cururupe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Hugo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joélson Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Ribeiro having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Hugo Dracena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ginete SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cururupe EC the free kick. A collision led to Ginete SC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hugo Dracena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Dracena in the 93rd minute of play forced Cururupe EC's goalkeeper Dário Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, one of Cururupe EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cururupe EC. Inácio Chaves shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Cururupe EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cururupe EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
