Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luiz Paulo de Brito got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Marova's zone, Luiz Paulo de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Velloso came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Almir Gerber could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Túlio Velloso however easily saved by the left post. In the 25th minute Luiz Paulo de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Leonel Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vito Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Luiz Paulo de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Túlio Velloso having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Gustavo Sena during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Marova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Sena to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Mattos was the one to do the kick off. If Luiz Paulo de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Gerber in the 56th minute of play forced Marova's goalkeeper Túlio Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marova's Vito Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristiano Maia. That made the score 1-1 after 59 minutes of play. If Vito Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Almir Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaipava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Paulo de Brito struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Túlio Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaipava. When Almir Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Itaipava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir Gerber couldn't finish the play. Vito Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Maia having to interfere. Cristiano Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Itaipava's Almir Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
