Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durval Antunes to make the kick off. Márcio Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Madresilva EC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Paraibano came free, but Márcio Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durval Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Durval Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Itapirapuan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Antunes couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute of the match Orlando de Queiroz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
