Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Murillo de Souza came out of the goal and Dorival Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrézinho Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Torres having to interfere. João Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrézinho Matos's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Matos in the 88th minute of play forced Paramana AD's goalkeeper João Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Andrézinho Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagoa EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lagoa EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
